Telecaster

Andy Summers' 1961 Fender Telecaster
3ds Max/Substance Painter/Alchemist/Marmoset

Definitely one of my favourite guitars of all time.
Andy Summers of The Police used this guitar from the early 70's after buying it from a student for about
200 dollars. Its a heavily modified 1961 Fender Telecaster, although the date may be incorrect as it seems the body and neck are from different guitars (nobody really knows). Fender suspect the neck is probably late 50's. Anyway, more info under the images !!.
Its all modelled in 3ds Max, textured in Substance Painter (I used Alchemist for the speaker
cabinets too), and rendered in Marmoset. All PBR Metal/Roughness workflow.
For reference I tried to use photos of the original guitar rather than the Fender 2007 re-issue
as there are some slight differences between them. (example ref photo - https://www.premierguitar.com
Hope you like it, thanks for looking !!

Close ups. Unique to Andy's guitar are the out of phase switch, battery powered preamp, Gibson Humbucker pickup and the brass bridge and saddles. The lead pickup is screwed directly into the body rather than onto the bridge plate.
The Studio setup for the renders. This shows the other props I created.
Curtains, Speakers cabinets, guitar stand and floor.  The Marshall speaker cabinets tiling materials (vinyl covering and speaker cloth) were created in Substance Alchemist.
The guitar strap, based on the  style Andy Summers used in the early 8o's.
Modelled in 3ds Max, Textured in Substance Painter.
